***160 Pictures and VIDEO LINK on our Website!*** Up for sale is this beautiful 1961 Double Cab finished in sealing wax red. This double cab was built in January of 1961 and was originally imported through New Orleans for the US market. We purchased this double cab about 7 months ago out of Sacramento CA. When it came to us it was nearly ready for paint. The previous owner had all necessary metal work and rust repair done. We had the bus painted here locally and tried our best to do so correctly with light overspray on the frame rails just like the factory, and then proceeded to assemble it. It received a new wire harness, all rubber gaskets, window seals, door gaskets, new correct 6.40 15 Bias Ply Firestone tires (Coker), brake system overhaul, new shocks, complete interior panel set from Clara, original seat covers were removed and restitched/repaired where needed. The bus came with a correct stale air 40hp motor that was completely rebuilt in Sacramento with zero miles on it. With the motor build, the carburetor, generator, and distributor were also professionally rebuilt. We have put over 100 miles on this Bus and it runs, drives, shifts, and stops beautifully! Although this is a fully restored bus it actually retains a LOT of originality! Something unique to this bus is the interior paint is ORIGINAL! The seat covers, steering wheel, pop out latches, door handles, Sun visor, cargo door strap, rims, bumpers, glass, (except replacement safari glass in ORIGINAL safari frames) and many other items, are all original!
