1974 Volkswagen Deluxe 23 window conversion with optional ragtop and third seat. The Volkswagen Kombi van (1950-1967) started a vehicle revolution that has lasted more than half a century; it influenced multiple generations. It's been said the Volkswagen Kombi van or bus started the minivan movement. To be sure, the VW Kombi has had a long run of popularity worldwide -- a popularity that's now seeing a resurgence. Recent results from Barrett-Jackson Auctions have seen early-1960s 23-window VW Kombi vans reaching six figures, going as high as 1,000. This one is a very nice example and fully restored inside and solid bodied rotisserie restoration. This Highly sought after 23 window version was created in Brazil and has the accessory front and rear wooden roof rack and side ladder, Safari front fold out windshields, sliding door windows, locking gas door, front shoulder belts, full ragtop sunroof, dash cup holder, dual outside chrome mirrors, electric fan on dash, passenger grab handle, curtains for side windows, chrome inner window guards, and third seat. This unit has a 120 kilometer speedometer only showing 78844 kilometers (not actual). Fast is not a term used for this bus but it has a smooth running 1500 motor, 4 speed manual transaxle, new white wall radial tires on painted steel wheels with trim rings and VW hubcaps, and no radio. The Ceylon Beige and Sahara Beige paint with painted bumpers is very nice and the interior with two tone brown and cream seats with and side panels, rear Daytona weave carpeting is beautiful. Guaranteed to gather smiles wherever you go.
