Collection of 25 photographs consisting of 20 vintage studio still photographs, 4 vintage double weight studio still photographs, and one vintage borderless reference photograph from the 1947 film. Four with the stamp of The Museum of Modern Art Film Library to the verso.
Based on the 1947 novella by John Steinbeck, who co-wrote the screenplay. A poor Mexican family living in a fishing village believe their fortune is made when they discover a valuable pearl, but soon realize the treasure only brings them further trouble. Noted Mexican cinematographer Gabriel Figueroa's twelfth film collaboration with prolific Golden Age director Emilio Fernandez.
Set and shot on location in Acapulco, Mexico.
22 photographs 10 x 8 inches, 2 photographs 10 x 8.25 inches, and 1 photograph 7.5 x 9.5 inches. 19 photographs Very Good plus, with light edgewear and fading, 6 Very Good, with some light dampstaining and creasing.
