    Description

    Massive Obsidian Rock. This is a handsome piece of obsidian. The carving was dropped but the remaining chunk is ready to be recut by your own design into something equally handsome or into a multitude of smaller pieces. The mother lode was used to supply the black eyes for the animals carved for the temple of Teotihuacan, and were so aligned that they changed color at noon of the spring equinox. The gold highlights are extraordinary.
