With its three playing surfaces, the Anika Nilles Signature Split Tone practice pad from Meinl gives you three distinct tones and responses to build hand independence and make practice and warm-ups a non-drudgery. The center of this 12-inch pad is a standard Meinl practice pad, which is where most drummers will perform the majority of their exercises and rudiments. Moving out to the red secondary pads reveals a higher tone, where you can approximate tom-snare rhythms or split up patterns to hear each hand in new ways. Finally, a soft muted oval section at the top lets you isolate hands to identify areas to work on. Around back, the Anika Nilles Signature Split Tone gives you a full 12-inch diameter workout surface to build muscle and practice after hours.
