How to use these tools
(1) Metal spudger opening tool
The metal pry tool is the "Golden Tool" for opening the casing of the iPod Classic. If done right, there should be little to no scratching on the iPod casing. Over time, we have found this method to be much more effective than that demonstrated in our video, where the fragile plastic pry tools are used. Because the front and back of the iPod Classic are metal, it's very tricky to open this device, but this tool makes it possible!
(1) Mini phillips screwdriver
Once inside your iPod Classic, there are small phillips screws that will need to be removed in order to access various areas and remove certain parts.

The suction cup is not used in the repair of this model but can come in handy for future repairs.

The small flathead is used to lift up the iPod Classic's battery plug, allowing the battery cable to be removed.
