Vintage Osborne 1 One OCC1 Portable Luggable Computer LOW SERIAL CA004484 #4484

Description

For sale is an absolutely beautiful piece of old technology, the Osborn 1 portable computer! This was part of an electronics haul purchased from a delightful lady who was a licensed programmer on Osborne and Macintosh computers in the early 80's, this was her personal computer she used to program with! She said the computer was working fine the last time she used it, but of course 25+ years of storage will take it's toll. The computer did not work when switched on, though a red light did turn on for a moment. Obviously there's some internal repair needed, but to what extent I have no idea. This computer is being sold AS-IS to someone who can either use it for parts or bring it back to it's formal glory!
Externally it's in amazing condition. There is some discoloration/yellowing, as to be expected on something this old, but there's no notable damage or major wear to speak of! Even the keyboard is in great shape. The handle is sturdy and the latches still hold the keyboard in with no issue.
This Osborne is particularly interesting due to it's immensely low serial number, being only #004484 of the AC model! This is one of the first 5000 of this model produced, how cool is that!
