This offer is for a vintage non-matching set of two Sheaffer® metal with chrome barrel and trim, writing pens. There is one black dot retractable ballpoint pen with its original blue ink tube and one white dot mechanical pencil with its original supply of graphite.
The metal retractable ballpoint pen has a chrome polished barrel and trim with Sheaffer and
Japan
embossed on the barrel just below the clip. The pen's original blue ink tube is also metal with chrome finish and is embossed with "Sheaffer® ballpoint refill Made in
USA
, fine (fine point)." The clip is embossed with the letter S and a small black dot above the letter.
The retractable metal mechanical pencil is also a chrome polished barrel and trim with a white dot on the clip. Embossed on barrel is Sheaffer and Made in
USA
. The pen cap is removed to access the back-up graphite and eraser. The eraser appears to have hardened/dried somewhat over the years, which is not unexpected for a vintage pencil eraser.
The ballpoint pen and mechanical pencil are fully working/functional with their original blue ink tube and graphite, respectively. See attached images #2 & 3 as the seller used the pen and pencil to write lines on a piece of white paper to demonstrate that each pen/pencil will still write as intended. The ballpoint pen can be opened to replace the ink cartridge if needed. See the attached images #5-7 which demonstrate the four parts of this ballpoint pen: the barrel, cap, spring and ink tube.  Likewise, the parts for the mechanical pen are seen with images #9 & 10.
CONDITION:  The pen and mechanical pencil were believed to have not been used. If they had been used, they would have been very lightly used as they have been in storage for over a decade. Both are fully working/functional with it's original blue ink tube and graphite. Overall, the seller would estimate the pen is in excellent working condition.
